Our recycling promise
We'd rather it lived again than landed in a hole.
Every load we collect goes through a separation pass before tipping. Metal, clean wood, green waste and clean recyclables are split out on the van. The remainder goes to licensed transfer stations that report back on diversion from landfill. Where items can be reused - usable furniture, working appliances - we route them to local charities and reuse partners.
uBee Recycling operates as a responsible waste carrier. Commercial customers can request waste transfer documentation where required.

What does “Pay Per Weigh” actually mean?
We weigh your load on the van using onboard certified scales. You see the weight, you see the rate for that waste stream, and that's what you pay — plus the access fee for the lift and any per-item recycling fees (mattresses, fridges, etc.). No round numbers pulled out of thin air.
Why is there a minimum charge?
A collection costs us the same to dispatch whether you've got one chair or a full sofa. The £95 + VAT minimum keeps the service viable for small jobs while still being fair on weight for larger ones.
How do access fees work?
Access reflects how long the lift takes our team. Kerbside is quickest, flats and stairs take longer and need extra hands. We choose the access band before we book so there are no surprises.
What can't you take?
We can't take paint, chemicals, asbestos, clinical waste or other hazardous items unless agreed in advance. Fridges/freezers, tyres and plasterboard are quote-only because they need separated handling at the tip.
Where do you cover?
South Wales — Cardiff, Newport, Swansea and the surrounding valleys and coast. If you're nearby, give us a shout — we'll often stretch for the right job.
Do you recycle what you collect?
Yes — that's the whole point. We separate metal, wood, green waste and clean recyclables on the van, and tip mixed loads at licensed transfer stations that report on diversion rates. Commercial customers can request waste transfer documentation.
Can I get a fixed price instead?
Most customers prefer Pay Per Weigh because it's almost always cheaper than a flat rate. If you genuinely need a fixed price (for accounting, a tenancy or a contract), tell us — we'll quote one based on a sensible estimate.
